Transperformance's Performer is a new high-fallutin' computerized guitar tuning system that guarantees that your guitar can be tuned, de-tuned, and re-tuned with the push of a button. Not only does it guarantee perfect tune, but you can also switch tunings mid-song or between songs without changing guitars. The bad news is this costs more than any high-end guitar. So if you aren't Jimmy Page, you probably can't afford this system anyways.
In that case, I would recommend either the Buzz Feiten tuning system, the Floyd Rose Speedloader system or if you just want to switch to alternate tunings, check out a Line 6 Variax guitar and the Line 6 Workbench software.
